About CLAP@JC in Primary
Created and Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the two-year Pilot CLAP@JC in Primary Schools project was launched in the 2025 academic year, aiming to enhance career and life development (CLD) provisions for primary students in Hong Kong. Building on the success of CLAP@JC, this initiative seeks to empower students by fostering an “Explorer” identity, boosting motivation, addressing stereotypes, and facilitating a smoother transition to secondary school.
Key components include the “I am an Explorer” experiential learning programme, student-led discovery projects, connections to community resource hubs, and the adaptation of the HKBM© framework. Prioritising effort to provide equitable access for disadvantaged students, the project has brought together seven partners to target 50 primary schools, benefiting approximately 22,000 students.
