Dr TSANG is now the Associate Director of the Educational Innovation Leadership Project (EdILP) of The Education of Hong Kong (EdUHK), the Programme Co-Director of Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the Education Consultant of Chiu Chow Association Secondary School, the External Examiner of the programme of Professional Certificate of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (PCVPET) of Vocational Training Council (VTC), the Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee and the Manager of the Leader Training Institute of Scout Association of Hong Kong.

Dr TSANG had been the member of the Task Force on Promotion of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) of the HKSAR Government (2008-2020) and in the Task force, he advocated the development of the Applied Degree programmes in tertiary institutions in Hong Kong so as to nurture the various potentials and interests of the students through a dual-track mode of university education. Dr TSANG has been teaching for more than 40 years, with 12 years of being the Principal of Chiu Chow Association of Secondary School, 16 years of being the Activities Master of another school.

Dr TSANG is now the Professional Advisor of Hong Kong Extra-curricular Activities Masters’ Association (HKEAMA) and he was the Chairman of the Association during the period from 2001 to 2004. Dr TSANG designed and started the Master of Arts programme in Students Activities in Education of CUHK in 2005 which was co-organized by the Education Faculty and the Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research of CUHK, and with the HKEAMA.

For the past more than 20 years, Dr TSANG has been the Co-Director and the lecturer of the Professional Diploma Programmes in Management of Student Activities in Primary and Secondary Schools at CUHK. He has been actively involving in school teacher training since 1996 for the various universities in HK and Macao, and for the Education and Youth Bureau of Macao SAR, including the training of Senior and Middle management teams of the schools, teachers and school managers training, school professional supports etc.

The major areas of academic research of Dr TSANG include the Management of Extra-curricular Activities, Experiential Learning, Quality Education Leadership, Vocational and Professional Education and Training, Holistic Development of Students, School-based Curriculum Studies, and Teacher Stress. Publications include《香港中、小學課外活動資料冊2003》、《學生活動風險評估與管理》、《課外活動:探究與管理 — 香港課外活動主任協會20週年文集》(合編). Dr TSANG is particularly concerning with the Education of Personal Quality and the Character Nurturing for the students, and the Life Development of the youngsters.

Dr TSANG serves as a role model of holistic development; he has been actively involving in Scouting for 52 years, he is good at photography and design, swimming, and lifesaving, he is fond of reading and creative arts. He got the licenses of Pleasure Vessel Certificate of Competency – Master and Engineer, and the taxi driver license. He is also the licensed Tour Guide and Tour Escort. “
