Mainstreaming CLD Schemes

Since the launch of “CLAP@JC All-Round CLD Mainstreaming Scheme” in Jan 2022, Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council Limited, St. James’ Settlement, The Tsung Tsin Mission of Hong Kong Social Service, Yan Oi Tong Limited and Hong Kong Playground Association have become CLAP@JC Network NGO. 24 youth service units from these 6 NGOs are ready to adopt CLAP@JC intervention model and resources for mainstreaming purpose. Through supporting research work conducted by CUHK and injecting CLD elements into their existing services, Network NGOs make great contribution to enhance social service for young people and develop quality industry standards.

Details of NGO Mainstreaming CLD Schemes

CLAP@JC - All-Round CLD Mainstreaming Scheme (Network NGOs)

In order to facilitate the mainstreaming CLD services across agencies, CLAP@JC has launched the CLAP@JC – All-Round CLD Mainstreaming Scheme to provide subsidies and all-round support for the eligible NGOs (Network NGOs) to incorporate CLD intervention into their own sub-vented youth services, through the adoption of CLAP@JC’s service model, standards and resources and to integrate CLD essentials into the agency’s youth service.

CLAP@JC - CLD Mainstreaming Programme

In order to facilitate the mainstreaming CLD services across agencies, through launching “CLAP@JC – CLD Mainstreaming Programme” to providing programme fee subsidies for applicants to organise CLD programmes with reference to CLAP@JC’s service model and standards. Resources and practice guidelines developed by CLAP@JC are also open for use.

CLAP@JC - CLD Practicum & Exposure Campaign

CLAP@JC – CLD Practicum & Exposure Campaign has been launched to provide funding to social workers, in group or individual, to spontaneously take part in training workshops and workplace learning programmes. It aims to enhance social workers’ CLD experience and confidence through internship programmes and facilitate their work of adopting CLAP@JC model & elements in youth service.

The campaign is open for applications throughout the year.

Capacity building for practitioners

Capacity building programmes include accredited training programme, workshop, Community of Practice (CoP), E-learning and case consultation and sharing.

Youth Programme

The youth beneficial under the NGOs mainstreaming CLD scheme from Network NGOs are entitled to join the “Youth Award Scheme”.

Research and Evaluative Study

The networks NGOs will engage in CLAP@JC Research and Evaluative study to built the prototypes of CLD intervention and evidence for mainstreaming and sustaining CLD.
